For instance, its Premier offering now includes the likes of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/turnberry.co.za\/2027\/gap-cover-provides-critical-support-for-accidents-and-emergencies\/\">Cover for accidents<\/a> is no longer subject to a 3-month general waiting period \u2013 giving customers peace-of-mind that they\u2019re immediately covered in the event of accidents and emergencies.<\/li>\n<li>The limit for co-payment cover has been doubled \u2013 from R75 000 per admission, all the way to R150 000 (the annual limit as defined by law).<\/li>\n<li>Sub-limit cover has also been expanded by a healthy amount \u2013 from R20 000 per admission, to R30 000.<\/li>\n<li>For traditional cancer, the required R200 000 excess (which would need to be covered by one\u2019s Medical Aid), has been reduced to R100 000 \u2013 to help those customers whose Medical Aid doesn\u2019t offer cancer benefits above R100 000.<\/li>\n<li>Contribution waivers have doubled, from 6 months to 12 months. This covers your family\u2019s monthly Medical Aid premiums (up to R6000) and 100% of your Gap Cover premiums in the event of death or permanent and total disability due to an accident of the Contribution Payer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cOther products in the range have received similar upgrades, all designed to fit perfectly with the needs of each particular market segment,\u201d explains Singleton.<\/p>\n<p>But perhaps the most important change in 2019 is a relentless focus on innovating in the area of risk management.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor many of us, it feels like medical inflation is just spiralling out of control,\u201d he says \u201cWe\u2019re extending our array of services, to help ensure our members\u2019 claims are correctly paid by their Medical Aid\u2026 for instance, we\u2019ll ensure claims are paid from the correct benefits pool.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re also negotiating more competitive rates from certain specialists, in return for our speedy payment of invoices \u2013 generating further cost-savings which we\u2019re excited to pass on to our members.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Ultimately, these new measures will help constrain medical inflation and limit the annual increase in Gap Cover premiums.<\/p>\n<p>The enhanced Turnberry product range will officially be launched during roadshows with its network of financial advisors, on the 2nd of October in Johannesburg, the 4th of October in Cape Town, and the 5th of October in Durban.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SA\u2019s leading Gap Cover provider presents enhanced line-up of solutions to meet consumer demands Durban 5 October 2018\u2013 Turnberry has released its new range of Gap Cover offerings for 2019, giving consumers greater value for their premiums, while<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":5,"featured_media":2407,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[7],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2631","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.3 -
